Recently listed in MTVs 'Top Ten Breakout Bands of Australia', Pataphysics is an Oz Hip Hop rarity. Lead by the multi-instrumental, multilingual Pat Marks, Pataphysics has built a strong following for their original blend of hip hop, soul, jazz and global rhythms. With influences such as Miles Davis, Zakir Hussain, Fela Kuti, Dangelo and Public Enemy, Pataphysics live shows are dynamic and fresh, incorporating his powerful politically conscious flows with freestyle poetry, live improvised beats and percussion, and even traditional north Indian rhythms.Pataphysics has toured and performed all over Australia, performing along side artists such as: DEAD PREZ, POIRIER, THE NARCICYST, AMIR SALIMAN, OLMECHA SUPREME, BATUCADA SOUND MACHINE, APACHE INDIAN, M-PHASES, MISTA SAVONA, JOELISTICS, CURSE OV DIALECT, BARONS OF TANG, 360 and PEZ among others.Touring Highlights include-RISE Festival 2011-Folk Rhythms and Life Festival 2010-National tour supporting Olmecha Supreme (NZ)-Opening night of Sydney Festival 2010-Opening night of Adelaide Fringe Festival (20,000 people)-Falls Festival NYE 2008-Back to back winner of The Uber Lingua Intercontinental Multilingual MCProduction/CompositionAlways in demand for his signature Trumpet/Flugel style, Pat Marks AKA Pataphysics is a highly accomplished writer, composer and producer.
